We are members of the Humber Landlords Association and the Residential Landlords Association. We fully comply with all legal requirements. Our properties are appropriately insured. We treat tenants as customers, giving them the respect and dignity they deserve.

A LOCAL FAMILY BUSINESS

We established our small rental business in 2010 and have grown it carefully and cautiously since then. We have two small boys, with a baby girl due in November 2018. We only work with people we know and trust, with a view to treating people the way we would like to be treated.

OUR TENANTS

We called our business "Homes for Good People". We occasionally get asked who we mean by "good people", and what types of tenants we might consider "bad people". We rely mainly on our partners to judge the character of prospective tenants, from the minimal information they receive at the application.

A good person, for us, is someone who takes responsibility for their life. Who does their best, despite the lot they've been given. Who aims for the greatest good they're capable of. Who works for a living, or has worked for most of their life. Or, at least, someone who strives hard for independence, despite adversity. Who is honest and trustworthy. Whose word can be relied on.

That is who we aim to be, despite our individual flaws. And we only want to work with people, and let our properties to people, of a similar philosophy.
